Blue Sun 2001 Limited is Darren Sidnick’s consultancy, built on senior experience across four sectors: fashion and retail, e‑commerce, business information/events and the public sector. Drawing on 16 years of building, scaling and selling HotSquash, board‑level roles at Informa, leading large skills and funding programmes at learndirect, and earlier work in politics, Blue Sun 2001 helps organisations grow, solve complex problems and unlock new commercial opportunities.
What does BlueSun mean?
BlueSun was the original working name for a business I built, chosen as an oxymoron to reflect thinking outside the usual box. The “2001” marks a pivotal year of change and courage, when I left a board‑level role to travel in India, return to study for an MBA and reset my life and work on healthier, more purposeful foundations.
